About Trimbakeshwar Temple

Trimbakeshwar is among the holiest Shiva shrines in India — the Jyotirlinga here is unusual for its three faces representing Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The town is also the origin of the Godavari, which rises at Brahmagiri and first appears at the Kushavarta Kund. It is a focal point of the Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Simhastha (Kumbh).
